    What Is ABA?

    Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically-validated intervention to support individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on decades of research and endorsed by leading health agencies.

    It applies the science of behavior analysis. The goal of ABA is to improve socially significant behaviors while decreasing behaviors that might interfere with independent functioning or behaviors that pose a safety risk.

  • Initial Contact

    Connect with our Care Team by phone or by filling out our contact form.

  • Talk with Our Care Team

    On our initial call, we'll get to know your child a bit better! We'll talk about their age, any areas where they might need some extra support, and if your family has received an official autism diagnosis.

  • We Handle the Hard Stuff

    Simply send us your insurance information and any diagnostic evaluation documents you have. We'll be happy to check your coverage and let you know!

  • Meet Your Local Team

    Your local Friendly Hands Health team will send an introductory email and work with you to schedule an assessment.

  • After the Assessment

    After getting to know your child's strengths and areas for growth through an assessment, your BCBA (the lead clinician on your child's care team) will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. You can expect to review this plan together within a week!

  • Starting Services

    Once you've reviewed and approved the personalized treatment plan, our team will handle submitting it to your insurance company. The approval process can take a few weeks, but we'll keep you updated. As soon as we have the green light, your local team will be in touch to schedule the exciting start of your child's care!
